But in today’s economy, splurging on age-defying masks at expensive spas isn’t on the top of the average consumer’s list. Putting your best face forward doesn’t have to be expensive and you can create several beneficial facial treatments from natural products sitting in your kitchen! You will need a food processor, a measuring cup, a bowl,  a teaspoon and a tablespoon, and you will be well on your way to maintaining your beauty naturally!

Here are five amazing and inexpensive facials that you can create at home.

1. Greek Olive Pits Exfoliating Scrub

The seeds inside of Greek olives are great for helping to remove dirt build up and dead skin cells when ground up and used as an exfoliating face mask.

How to Make: Use a food processor to grind up the seeds along with the olives and use as an exfoliating scrub.

2. Yogurt Mask

This breakfast favorite is a great skin smoother and purifier. Make sure to opt for the flavorless Greek Yogurt for the facial mask, not the fruity variety. Yogurt contains lactic acid, a compound found in some chemical peels, that may help reduce fine wrinkles and clear blemishes and discoloration.

How to Make: Mix one cup of Greek yogurt with two to three drops of almond or olive oil and a tablespoon of honey. Apply to face, leave on for 20-30 minutes, then rinse and pat dry.

3. Green Tea Eye Mask

Want to reduce under-eye puffiness? Green tea bags will do the trick! This earthy-colored tea is filled with anti-inflammatory compounds and tannins to help reduce puffiness on the skin.

4. Maple Syrup Mask

Pure maple syrup is loaded with antioxidant-laden compounds that may help to reverse signs of aging.

How to Make: Stir one tablespoon of warm milk and one tablespoon of maple syrup together along with three tablespoons of finely ground oats. Massage gently onto the face, leave on for about 20 minutes before rinsing off and follow up with a moisturizer.

5. Avocado Face Mask

Beat dry skin with this facial mask filled with monounsaturated fats, vitamin B and potassium known to help moisturize and exfoliate the skin.

How to Make: Mix together one avocado, one egg white, two tablespoons of oatmeal and one teaspoon of lemon juice and apply generously to the face for 15-20 minutes. Rinse with warm water and repeat twice a week for softer, more supple skin.
