The African American Chamber of Commerce (AACC) will hold a workshop for community small businesses on how to overcome the barriers to bonding and insurance in order to obtain private sector, city, state, federal and other public government funded contracts.

The workshop will be held Monday, May 19, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Milwaukee Urban League offices, 435 W. North Ave. The workshop is free and registration will be done onsite.

The workshop will be presented by professionals from the SBA and D.S.

Blum Inc. It will cover bond resources that are needed to obtain these contracts, present different types of bonding, explain why they are required, and most importantly how to position your company to qualify for the bonding typically required in a particular industry.

For more information, call the AACC at (414) 462-9450.
