Alderman Joe Davis, Sr. is establishing an exploratory committee as he considers entering the 2016 City of Milwaukee mayoral race. “Milwaukee is a great city but there’s a huge leadership void. I know we can do a lot better.”
As alderman for the city’s 2nd District, Davis looks forward to meeting residents throughout the city to learn what issues are important to them, while sharing his vision for a better Milwaukee.
“The serious lack of leadership over the years has resulted in an increase in violent crime and widespread unemployment, not to mention the pathetic state of our streets. Forming an exploratory committee is the first step in bringing leadership back to the city of Milwaukee.”
Davis serves as chair of the Common Council’s Community and Economic Development Committee and realizes the importance of working with businesses. “We need to listen to our area business people to strengthen the city and develop strong ties in a regional and global economy.”
Davis is a lifelong resident of the city of Milwaukee and has dedicated his professional career to serving its citizens.
