Wauwatosa, WI—The Salvation Army Match Day was a resounding success, $29,586.47 was donated in total to Milwaukee Red Kettles on Saturday, December 18. Adding the match of $25,000 for generous donations totaling, $54,586.47. The Salvation Army is now half way to reaching their $2.75M Christmas Campaign. The current Red Kettle total is $1.4 M with only 3 bell ringing days.
“Thank you Milwaukee for making our match day successful. The donations made to our Red Kettles this Saturday helped us get to the half way point of our Christmas Campaign goal. There are 3 days left to ring bells and make donations to our Red Kettles. 84 cents of every dollar donated helps us keep critical Salvation Army programs and services in place all year round for individuals and families in need, such as our Toy Shop, Christmas Family Feast, Prison Toy Wrap, emergency assistance for food, shelter and medical care” said Major Robert Thomson, Divisional Commander for The Salvation Army Wisconsin & Upper Michigan.
