Ghosts, goblins, costumes, candy, a trick or a treat, vampires and blood. For BloodCenter of Wisconsin, Halloween is all about the blood – for the patients who need it in our community. BloodCenter will be holding a Halloween Blood Drive at the Harley-Davidson Museum, 400 W. Canal Street in Milwaukee on Thursday, October 27 from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. To schedule an appointment please visit www.bcw.edu or call 1-877-BE-A-HERO. Walk-ins are welcome.
All attempting blood donors will receive a treat – a limited edition t-shirt and a chance to win a limo ride to visit a haunted house. Donors will also be entered in a sweepstakes for a chance to win one of ten family four-packs of tickets to the Harley-Davidson Museum or a Harley-Davidson® leather jacket. There is no trick to saving lives.
Donating is an easy way to make a profound difference in your community and by becoming a blood donor you too can make a difference. By donating blood through BloodCenter of Wisconsin, you are giving a priceless gift to children and adults who are seriously injured, facing surgery or being treated for cancer. Nearly 800 donors are needed every day to help maintain the supply to hospitals served by BloodCenter of Wisconsin.
Anyone who is in general good health and meets eligibility requirements is encouraged to donate blood. The entire process takes about an hour and all blood types are needed. Donors should bring a photo ID. For more information or to schedule an appointment, call 1-877-BE-A-HERO or visit www.bcw.edu.
