The Milwaukee Brewers recently joined forces with Feeding America and Hunger Task Force, radio station 1290 AM WMCS and the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Department in preparing and distributing Thanksgiving food baskets to 500 area families. Pictured above following a news conference at Miller Park to kick-off the effort are (left to right): TJ Jackson, 1290 WMCS Operations Manager; Cecelia Gore, director of Brewers Charities; and Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke. Following the news conference, the aforementioned groups delivered food baskets to the Guest House, a Milwaukee homeless shelter for men. This is the 16th year that WMCS has held this special holiday meal program and the Milwaukee Brewers and the Brewers Community Foundation have teamed up with 1290 WMCS to help solicit funds, food and family recipients.
