Members of the Milwaukee Brewers (which included Ryan Braun), Brewer wives, Manager Ron Roenicke and his wife Karen, along with several Brewer front office personnel raised the frame of a new house being built in the 1400 Block of north 34th street in the Washington Park neighborhood. The effort is part of a new revitalization initiative by Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity, with the help of the Brewers Community Foundation. The Washington Park area is the focus of Habitat’s Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative (NRI) and its “May Blitz Build” week. The build on 34th street, the first of the year for Habitat, will benefit the Salvador Villalobos family, who is also helping with the construction. (Photo by Yvonne Kemp)
