Brentwood Church of Christ’s bi-monthly African American Alzheimer’s & Related Dementia Caregiver Support Group meeting will be held on Friday, December 3, 2010 from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the church (6425 N. 60th Street).
This group is free and open to the general public. The meeting will include a presentation by Dimitri Mills of VITAS Innovative Hospice Care and will focus on end-of-life care options. For more information, please contact Darlene Johnson at 414-353-6757.
African Americans are at a higher risk for developing Alzheimer’s, but are also less likely to be diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease than whites. Please take advantage of this free community resource; it is one of the few African American targeted Alzheimer’s support groups in Milwaukee.
