The Recall Momentum for Mahlon Mitchell growing as Kleefisch leans on Tea Party

Madison—As Mahlon (MAY’-lin) Mitchell continues to build momentum in his race against Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch, out-of-state interests are rushing in to provide support for the Tea Party Republican incumbent.

“I am proud to have the support of police officers, fire fighters, teachers, nurses, electricians, and other middle class men and women throughout Wisconsin,” said Mahlon Mitchell, Democratic nominee for Lt. Gov.

“We need to bring Wisconsin back together. Middle class families cannot afford the Walker-Kleefisch Tea Party agenda that is dividing our state.”

Last week’s poll by Daily Kos and Public Policy Polling showed Mitchell gaining momentum in his close race against Rebecca Kleefisch.

Days later, Mahlon Mitchell received general election endorsements from the Professional Fire Fighters of Wisconsin and the Kenosha Professional Police Association’s Board of Directors.

These general election endorsements are in addition to the support from hundreds of thousands of Wisconsin citizens represented by the more than 20 organizations supporting Mahlon Mitchell’s campaign for Lt. Gov.

“Mahlon Mitchell’s grassroots support is the complete opposite of Rebecca Kleefisch’s strategy of relying on out-of-state right-wing radicals like Sarah Palin and the Tea Party Express,” said Andy LaVigne, Mitchell for Wisconsin Campaign Manager.

“Wisconsin needs commonsense solutions to the problems we face. That is exactly what Mahlon will bring to Wisconsin after Scott Walker and Rebecca Kleefisch are defeated on June 5.”
