One of “Bambi’s Bombers,” former Brewers All-Star Larry Hisle, is going to bat for Christmas Seals this year as Wisconsin’s campaign chairman for the American Lung Association.
Hisle says Christmas Seals help fund research and improved treatments for the 35 million Americans with chronic lung diseases.
“And what is truly wonderful is that – with information, with funds – we can eradicate the majority of these illnesses.”
The theme of this year’s Christmas Seals campaign is “Celebrate Another Year.” Hisle, in his role as Youth Outreach Manager for the Brewers, tells young athletes to avoid things that will give an advantage to those with whom they are competing. ” (contd.)
