Frank Ocean is back at it, hitting the studio for work on his upcoming sophomore album. After months of speculation about his next project, the Grammy-winning singer took to Tumblr this week, posting a photo of himself in a recording studio.

Photographer Nabil also shared the image, captioning the shot, “Frank in the lab.. Making sophomore album game.”

Ocean released his first studio album, “Channel Orange,” in July 2012 to much critical fanfare, bringing Ocean to the national stage and earning him the Grammy award for Best Urban Contemporary Album. “Channel Orange” hit No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and was certified Gold.

In the months since the release of “Channel Orange,” Ocean has been quietly preparing his next project. The 26-year-old singer told Rolling Stone in February of 2013 that he had already worked on “like 10, 11 songs” for his sophomore album.

“It’s another cohesive thing, bordering on a concept record again,” he said. “At the end of Channel Orange, there’s ‘Golden Girl,’ and it’s this beach scene. And I kind of want it to extend that feel into the next record all together, kind of make it that theme.”
