Milwaukee has a shortage of jobs, but there is no shortage of work to be done to improve our homes and neighborhoods. Adding new insulation and heating or cooling equipment can improve comfort in your home and make it last longer.
These days, though, it can be hard to come by extra money to pay for home improvements. But what if there was way to take the money we are already wasting on high energy bills, and instead invest that money into quality home improvements? Wouldn’t that be smarter for our community and your pocketbook?
Well the Milwaukee Energy Efficiency program, or Me2, makes it possible.
Me2 is a program sponsored by the City of Milwaukee and funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
Me2 provides homeowners who live in the city with thousands of dollars in rebates and no home equity loans for energy saving improvements.
Over 650Milwaukee homeowners have already used Me2 to make home improvements and reduce their energy bills by hundreds of dollars every year.
And Me2 not only makes home energy saving upgrades affordable, it also takes the guess work out of home improvement.
Energy Advocates provide free support and guide you through the home improvement process.
Me2 energy consultants do a thorough evaluation of your home to identify energy saving opportunities and develop a plan for improvements customized to your needs.
Then, a Me2 Contractor completes the work you want, and the work is inspected to ensure it was done right.
Me2 along with Wisconsin’s Focus on Energy program have teamed up to offer thousands of dollars in incentives to all eligible homeowners in the City of Milwaukee.
Low to moderate income homeowners can be eligible for bonus incentives totaling up to $7,850, which is often enough to pay for all of the energy saving home improvements!
When you use the Me2 program, you’re not only improving your home and saving money, but you’re helping put Milwaukee back to work.
All Participating Me2 contractors use workers who live in the City of Milwaukee and complete their work with pride.
Don’t delay! To maximize your rebates, you must have a home energy evaluation completed through Me2 by June 15th and complete your home improvements by August 30th.
