Men and women looking for employment got the chance to talk with employers at a Job Fair held as part of a financial literacy conference.

The W-2 Program of the Social Development Commission (SDC) put on the Job Fair during the 13th Annual Milwaukee Money Conference held at the Business and Economics Academy of Milwaukee. That daylong conference offered workshops and classes on topics like budgeting, credit, homeownership, and insurance.

The SDC W-2 Job Fair featured employers including Patrick Cudahy, Manpower, Job Corps, Lowes, YWCA’s Transitional Jobs, and Gibraltar Industries. Residents were able to talk with staff and fill out applications for jobs. Workshops were also offered as well as internet access for the electronic application process.

Connecting job-seekers with employment opportunities is a part of the SDC W-2 program. For more information on the program, visit the SDC website at www.cr-sdc.org, click on the “Programs” page and then the link for “W-2”.
