Local Couple Launches Sangria Company

Couple combines manufacturing and food distribution know-how to bring new Sangria to market

Bay View couple Jamie and Erica Zdroik recently launched Sangria by Lovino, a new ready-to-drink bottled sangria. The sangria, which is made in Wisconsin at an environmentally-friendly winery in Algoma, is now available at more than 80 Roundy’s locations with additional retail and restaurant locations soon to follow.

Described as deeply concentrated, fresh and sweet with mild fruit flavors; Sangria by Lovino offers a well-balanced flavor that is made with all natural ingredients.

“We have been mixing sangria for family and friends for years,” explains Erica Zdroik, owner. “After developing this recipe, we were often told we should find a way to bottle and sell our blend. Sangria by Lovino is the result of those suggestions. We’re thrilled to share our family recipe with people across Wisconsin.”

Both Jamie and Erica bring related professional experience to this new endeavor. Jamie is currently employed as a Manufacturing Manager for Nelson Container; Germantown, Wis. Erica is a food resource manager for Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin. The couple’s current work experiences have helped them as they developed the plans for production, worked on government approvals, obtained distribution, and managed the finances of their fledgling business, Lovino.

Lovino is a beverage production company based in Milwaukee, Wis. The name is a combination of the words “love” and “vino,” the Italian word for wine.
