Walk MS: Milwaukee will be held this Sunday, May 6. The 3.1- and 7.5-mile routes begin and end at the Summerfest Grounds, 200 N. Harbor Dr. in Milwaukee.
More than 3,000 people are expected to participate. The event brings together those who are committed to raising awareness about multiple sclerosis and raising funds to support MS-related research and services.
Sign-in begins at 9 a.m. with the walk starting at 10 a.m. Dogs are welcome on the route but not on the Summerfest grounds, which is where the event check-in will occur.
Special on-site activities will include performances by the Marquette Gold ’n Blues Singers, Wauwatosa Esprit Poms team, and Jo-Jo & the Go Monkeys; demonstrations by New Berlin Tae Kwon Do; and appearances by Milwaukee Admirals mascot Roscoe, Sprecher mascot Rooty, Wave mascot Brad Beach and three of the Klement’s Racing Sausages. Gene Mueller from Newsradio 620 WTMJ-AM will emcee. Completer bags will be distributed.
