Three-day small business event to bridge gap between and bring awareness to entrepreneurs and area residents

As big businesses struggle to stay afloat, small businesses will be depended upon to be the life preservers of our society. Pinnacle Motivations, a Milwaukee based professional networking and empowerment company, understands what it will take to revive our economy.

To meet this challenge, Pinnacle Motivations has created “My City, My Biz Wisconsin Small Business Expo has been created to bridge the gap between–and bring awareness to–area residents, entrepreneurs, agencies, associations, commerce and city and state officials of the local services and resources available to them.

The Expo will be held October 28 to October 30 at the Wyndham Milwaukee Airport Hotel and Convention Center, 4747 S. Howell Avenue. The Expo will have over 300 exhibitors involved in a myriad of businesses.

The Expo will feature free seminars, where attendees can hear more about specific business topics and funding strategies for the success of their business in today’s economy.

The 30-minute sessions will run throughout the day. A limited number of participating exhibitors will have the opportunity to purchase one of these time slots to share with attendees more about their business, association or product.

Expo organizers anticipate between 3,500 to 4,000 attendees to this first time three-day event. Admission to the Expo is free and open to the public. VIP passes will be given out through Pinnacle Motivations’ members, sponsors and vendors to attend the onsite seminars for free.

A limited number of the VIP passes will also be given away for promotional purposes by radio stations, local blogs and other relevant outlets.

The Expo will have areas dealing with health, youth, food, beauty, construction, finance, faith, entertainment and motivation.

Other highlights include the Founder’s Breakfast, during which a panel of local entrepreneurs will share their stories of success and what they’ve learned owning and running their own businesses. The Founder’s Breakfast will be Friday, October 28 starting at 9 a.m. in the Wyndham’s Mardi Gras Ballroom. Ticket cost is $50.

On Sunday, October 30, the Opulence Awards will be held to celebrate Pinnacle Motivations members and the small business community at-large. The event will be held in the Wyndham’s Ballroom. Proceeds from the event will benefit the 2012 Pinnacle Entrepreneurs Dream Fund. Ticket cost is $50.

There will also be a “Youth Expo” held on Saturday only, October 29.
