NBUF will hold its 33rd Annual Convention in Milwaukee

National Black United Front BUF will hold its 33rd Annual Convention in Milwaukee this week July 12-15 at the Milwaukee Brotherhood of Firefighters Hall, 7717 W Good Hope Rd. This year’s theme “The Year of the African Woman: A Spirit Unbroken.”

We have many great actitives planned with outstanding presentations, here are some of the highlights:
Thursday July 12; Meet & Greet Reception & Registration 5 pm-9 pm
Friday July 13; Convention begins 9am, presentations on, “The History of NBUF” 33 years of Persistent Battle for Change,
The History of Sistahs in NBUF, The State of Our Children and Youth, Challenges Facing African-Centered
Education and a Introduction to Geneology of African Ancestry.
“It’s BLACK FRIDAY” enjoy the Black Friday Bash & Fish Fry from 5pm -7pm
Town Hall Meeting 7pm with Student Minister Ava Muhammad “Sistahs in the Prison”
Saturday July 14; Ancestral Celebration at the Lakefront {Bradford Beach} 8am, Black Students on White Campuses’
Violence Against Women: Roots, Causes and Solutions
NBUF Banquet 7pm, Keynote Speaker Dr. Joy DeGruy author “Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome”
Sunday July 15; Convention Wrap Up 10 am

Registration is $100, it includes all activties (receptions, fish fry, banquet)
