Over five years ago, Quadrevion Henning and Purvis Parker both lost their lives in a tragic drowning accident at one of the local park ponds on Milwaukee’s northwest side.
Quadrevion’s and Purvis’ month-long disappearance (March 19, 2006 to April 15, 2006) brought the city a lot closer. Transcending race, politics, and war, people united together in hopes of their safe return home.
In recognition of National Missing & Exploited Children’s Week, the Quadrevion Henning Foundation is hosting a candlelight vigil for Milwaukee’s missing children & adults and families of loved one’s who were lost due to violent crimes. Here are some further event details:
WHAT: Candlelight Vigil: Remembering Our Loved Ones
WHEN: Friday, May 27th @ 6:30 pm
WHERE: New Hope Missionary Baptist Church
2433 West Roosevelt Dr.
The program will include a message of hope, a song performance and the lighting of candles ceremony. There will also be available a paper replica of the future QHF Wall of Remembrance. We will invite all family members and friends present to add their loved ones names to the wall in remembrance.
