Canaan Baptist Church, located at 2975 n. 11th St., is celebrating its 71st
yearAnniversary. The anniversary day celebration will be held on
September 25, starting at 9 a.m. The worship services will begin at
10:30 a.m. with the Rev. DemetriusMack fromWay of The CrossMissionary
Baptist Church as the guest speaker.
The theme for this anniversary celebration is: “We Are Unified In
Christ Jesus,” taken from Ephesians 4:5-6. Please join the official
staff, church anniversary committee and the members of Canaan in
celebrating 71 years of glorifying God.
FAITH TEMPLE COGIC
Pastor-Elect Romon Deangelo Wallace will be ordained Sunday, September 25, 2011 at
5:00 p.m. located at Faith Temple COGIC, 2482W. Center St. under the
leadership of Bishop D.L. Young, founder and pastor of Miracle In the
Word Healing and Deliverance Temple.
MT. ZION BAPTIST CHURCH
The Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church will hold its annual revival
Monday, September 26 through Wednesday, September 28. The theme for
the week is “Sharing God’s Word for the Saving of Souls.”
Revival service will begin each evening at 7:00 p.m. The speaker for the
service will be the Rev. J.W. Brown, pastor of the Welcome Baptist
Church in LosAngeles, CA. The guest lecturer will be the Rev. Donald
Sibley of the New Evergreen Baptist Church in Gena, LA. There will
also be guest choirs from various churches each night of the revival.
