Rev. Cokes elected pastor

Reverend Michael A. Cokes, Sr.

Friendship Missionary Baptist Church located at 905 W. North Ave. has recently elected a new pastor. Reverend Michael A. Cokes, Sr. of Milwaukee.  He is the 4th Pastor in the church’s 66 years of existence.  

Reverend Cokes is a dynamic pastor, teacher, preacher, trailblazer, mentor, talented singer and professional drummer.  

He holds both a Masters and Bachelors degree in Theology and a Bachelors Degree in Divinity from Grace Seminary.  He served our country as well as an officer in the US Navy.  

Pastor Cokes is the husband of Tangie Cokes. Friendship Missionary Baptist Church is excited for our church and would like all to help us welcome our new Pastor.

The Rev. Cokes will be installed as pastor during a special service on October 9.
