Rickie Weeks named Brewers nominee for the 2012 Roberto Clemente Award

Milwaukee Brewers Star Second Baseman Rickie Weeks recently received an award signifying his nomination for the 2012 Roberto Clemente Award to be presented by Chevrolet. Presenting the award to Weeks is Rick Schlesinger of Schlesinger Chevrolet. The prestigious award is named after Hall of Fame great Roberto Clemente for his achievements and character as a player and humanitarian. Weeks was nominated for his charitable work in the community. He has made financial contributions to Brewer Community Foundation, and has partnered with the foundation’s “Teach for America, Sponsor-A-Teacher” initiative in Milwaukee. Weeks also sponsored the production of the play, “The Jackie Robinson Story,” which will debut in 2013 by Children’s First Stage Theatre Company. (Photo by Yvonne Kemp
