River Rhythms, downtown’s fastest growing music festival, kicks off the 2013 season tomorrow, Wednesday, June 12th with Piano Brew. The free concert series takes place from 6:30-9pm every Wednesday until August 28th in Pere Marquette Park on Old World Third Street between State and Kilbourn.

Piano Brew, based out of Cedarburg, Wisconsin, features dueling pianists Gary Clausing and Tony Frontier. With a playlist that covers six decades, Piano Brew will perform popular songs covering a wide range of musical genres, including rock, blues, country and contemporary.

They have a request list of more than 250 songs and encourage audience participation in the show. Piano Brew has a simple goal: they just want to have fun! Jam-packed with great performers like Brother, Manran and Greg Koch, this free concert series is sure to have something for everyone. Free concerts continue each Wednesday until August 28 from 6:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. in Pere Marquette Park, on Old World Third Street between Kilbourn and State Streets. There will be no concert on July 3rd.

A special performance by Leroy Airmaster will occur Friday, August 30 in conjunction with Harley Davidson’s 110th Anniversary Celebration.

River Rhythms patrons will once again be able to carry-in alcoholic beverages during the 2013 season. For patrons who prefer purchasing beverages at the event, Westown continues to offer for sale a variety of quality wines, beers and non-alcoholic beverages, with all proceeds helping to support this free community event. Food vendors will also be on hand.
