Sheriff David Clarke Jr. recently spoke to K-4 through 5th grade students at Emmaus Lutheran School, 2818 N. 23rd Street, during their weekly chapel gathering. Principal Tyrone Dumas invited Sheriff Clarke to speak to the students and give a message about the importance of staying in school. During his message, the sheriff challenged the students to read at least a few pages from a book of their choice every day this summer.
