The City of Milwaukee’s Office of Small Business Development will host the sixth annual Small Business Sustainability Conference to help hundreds of local businesses survive and thrive. The event will be held Tuesday, June 3, starting at 7:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. at ManpowerGroup, 100 Manpower Place. The keynote address will begin at 11:30 a.m. and the Carmex Award presentation and remarks will start at 12:15 p.m.

The event will feature interactive workshops, engaging presentations and an award presentation to Milwaukee-based business and international brand Carma Laboratories, Inc. maker of Carmex lip balm. Carmex is a global business that has been located in Milwaukee for 77 years.

Speakers at the event will be Daphne Jones, Malone’s Fine Sausage (keynote address); Jona Mancuso, Carma Laboratories, Inc., maker of Carmex lip balm; Michael Murphy, Common Council President; Nikki Purvis, mamager of the Office of Small Business Development.
