Be a Super Reader – For Ages 12 and younger
Visit any Milwaukee Public Library to sign-up for summer reading and receive a folder to track the minutes you read, or have someone read to you. Receive a yard sign to let the city know you are a Super Reader and are reading to defeat Dr. Brain Drain! As you read this summer you can earn food coupons, free admission to fun places around town, a book bag to carry your books back and forth to the library, and a free book for your home library. Join MPL each week for special events and classes featuring magicians, live animals, pirates and more!
Put Your Face in a Book – Teen Summer Reading Program – For Ages 13-18
Sign up and receive a coupon for a FREE mini sub from Cousins Subs! Track your reading online anytime at www.mpl.org/SummerReading. Earn prizes after you read and log 3 books, and after 6 books! Read and log 10 books or more by Saturday, August 4 and you’ll also be entered into grand prize drawings at your library for gift cards and more! Teens who read and log 10 books also earn a free book.
