Virtual learning has been a task this year. Kids have been forced to adjust to this alternative way of learning and for some it’s been working out for the better. For others, it’s been a bit of a struggle. Not every student is a virtual learner.
Students have been feeling overwhelmed. They feel there’s too much work to keep up with and not enough motivation. Some are afraid or uncomfortable with asking questions virtually. Some are afraid to say when they are confused or not following along.
Many virtual learners are ready to come back to the classroom. Besides missing the social aspect, families are certain in-person learning will be a better option. Families are tired of the adjustments of virtual learning, feeling overwhelmed with the burden of being hands on with students.
It’s certainly been a struggle academically for many. But is it safe to come back to in-person learning? It may be clear that that’s the best option for schooling but is it the safest? Will teachers and staff members feel safe? Will they comment to the task at hand?
How do you feel about students going back to the classroom? Do you feel all students should return back to school for in-person learning? What do you think are the best options? Do you want your child to go back now, why or why not?
