Just do it isn’t just a slogan from Nike, it’s a phrase that’s meant to be taken literal. In life it seems like life never stops coming for us. It easily tosses our plans left and right like the waves of the ocean. We could never count the amount of times where things don’t go as planned. I mean we can literally plan everything out the way we need it and something, somehow and someway, still is bound to happen to throw us off.
That’s why it’s important to learn to stand on what we want and need to do no matter what. This sometimes means we have to take a detoured route. However, a detoured route is better than a delayed route that never happens. Sometimes, we just need to remind ourselves why we need to do what we need to do.
Making a list of why we need to accomplish the task at hand should give us inspiration. Sometimes we need to visually see why we should do a thing. If we want to lose weight, we may want to start because overall we want to have better health. If we want to start a business, maybe it’s because we want more freedom or more income. If we want to create a financial budget, maybe it’s because we want to save more money. If we want to fix our credit, maybe it’s because we want more leverage to buy a home.
You have to train your mind to be able to complete the tasks at hand. You can do this in many ways. You can post sticky notes on your mirror to motivate you. You can create a vision board. You can stick a picture of your dream car or dream house on your refrigerator. You can keep a small picture that motivates your in your purse or wallet.
No matter which route you choose, it’s important that your goals have a goal in mind. Achieving goals produces results and it’s what we do that produces results. So just do it. No matter what the situation is, no matter what it seems like isn’t going to work, no matter what makes you scare, no matter how hard it seems— just do it! Get it done!
