Time Warner Cable today announced the addition of 200 new full-time jobs to its downtown Milwaukee workforce.
The new hires will work as Retention Representatives, developing expertise in Time Warner Cable’s products and services so they may help manage the relationship Time Warner Cable has with its customers over time. The new employees will assist customers from the Midwest, Texas and California. Four shifts will be offered, helping to meet the diverse needs of students and working parents.
The first 70 jobs are posted online. To apply, or for more information, candidates can visit www.jobs.timewarnercable.com and then click on “locations” to view the Milwaukee jobs. Additional jobs will be posted in batches of up to 25 between now and August in order to accommodate the need to train employees in consecutive classes.
“It’s an exciting time to work at TWC and these are great jobs with excellent benefits,” said Chuck Parshall, VP Sales Wisconsin. “In addition to expanding the size of our workforce, we will need to triple the number of leaders in this group over the next year, so there is definite opportunity to move up.”
“This is a great start the new year,” said City of Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett. “I thank Time Warner Cable not only for the jobs it’s announcing today but for its long history here in Milwaukee for being a good corporate citizen.”
“It’s a big investment – we appreciate their commitment to our state,” said State Senator Minority Leader Chris Larson. “Adding another 200 jobs to the City of Milwaukee will help 200 more Wisconsin families.”
State Representative Jon Richards added, “Thank you Time Warner Cable for the long history of investing in our City, in the heart of the City. Time Warner Cable has been part of the growing success story in downtown Milwaukee.”
The new employees will work in Time Warner Cable’s historic Martin Luther King Drive building with a riverfront cafeteria and patio. The building offers easy access to bus transportation, free parking and fun activities within walking distance.
