Monday, July 8, 5:07 p.m. EDT: Tracy Martin, Trayvon Martin’s father, took the witness stand after the testimony of the lead investigator on the case, Chris Serino, who said that during an interview, the grieving father denied that the scream on the 911 call was his son’s voice. But Martin essentially denied it, saying, “I never said that wasn’t my son’s voice.”

Monday, July 8, 9:35 a.m. EDT: George Zimmerman’s defense team continued its case this morning. The state rested on Friday after a day of gripping testimony. Lawyers called their first witness, Sondra Osterman, the wife of Zimmerman’s best friend, Mark Osterman. After the defense played a recording of the 911 call, she identified the voice as that of Zimmerman, saying, “Yes, definitely, it’s Georgie. I hear him screaming.” The state then set out to dismantle her testimony.
