MINNEAPOLIS–(BUSINESS WIRE)– U.S. Bank has been recognized by We Energies for its excellence in service, safety, customer satisfaction, cost reduction, innovation and supplier and workforce diversity, and was honored with its chief administrator’s “Star Award of Excellence.”
U.S. Bank has been the billing and remittance processor for We Energies since 2008. U.S. Bank produces and sends out more than 15 million bills and processes approximately 10 million lockbox and bill consolidator payments on We Energies’ behalf every year. We Energies is headquartered in Milwaukee.
“Last year U.S. Bank posted remittance payments perfectly 99.99 percent of the time,” said Kris Rappe, We Energies senior vice president and chief administrative officer. “That is almost error free on 10 million remittance payments. We Energies is pleased to bestow the ‘Star Award of Excellence’ to U.S. Bank.”
“We were pleased to hear that more than 75 percent of We Energies’ customers were highly satisfied with the billing process – which is a 14 percent increase in less than three years since they selected U.S. Bank as their vendor,” said Ray Palmer, relationship manager for U.S. Bank. “This recognition shows the excellent partnership with We Energies, and the U.S. Bank team’s attention to client satisfaction.”
U.S. Bank works continuously with We Energies to automate its payment processing. Through the use of enhanced lockbox and bill consolidator services, nearly 200,000 manual and change of address entries are eliminated each year. As a result of these process improvements, We Energies identified reduced operating costs of nearly $600,000 annually.
