Unveiling ceremony for mosaic artwork ‘Life’s Garden’

Ann Wilson (not pictured), the Manager of the Hillside Family Resource Center, served as Mistress of Ceremonies for an unveiling ceremony for a mosaic artwork “Life’s Garden,” which took place the afternoon of October 21 to kick off Milwaukee’s 24th year of celebrating Gallery Night and Day. This unveiling introduced the speakers and the installer (pictured from Left to right), Evelyn Patricia Terry, assisting artist for community participation in the watercolor workshops; Catherine Vance, the President of the Lapham Park Resident Organization; Catherine Lottes, the Lead artist, designer, and glass fabricator for “Life’s Garden;” and Lee Callewaert, the project installer. In the background, Mikal Floyd – Pruitt views the reverse side of the mosaic. The Housing Authority of Milwaukee and the Wisconsin Arts Board sponsored this public artwork, located at Lapham Park Senior Citizen Center on 6th and Reservoir.
