Upper Iowa University consistently maintains tradition of excellence

With a tradition of quality, service and flexibility since 1857, Upper Iowa University, a private and non-profit University, has been offering postsecondary studies for both recent high school graduates and adult learners alike for over 150 years. UIU now serves over 6,900 students at its main campus as well as at 20 U.S. centers, their international centers, and through Distance Education(online) programs.

Students from the Milwaukee area have attended UIU’s Milwaukee Center since 1992, and over 2,900 graduates of UIU live in Milwaukee alone. The Milwaukee Center, located at 620 S. 76th Street, across from State Fair Park, is a state-of-the-art facility with internet connected classrooms, computer labs, WIFI connections, student lounges, and full student support offices. The Milwaukee Center is located right on the major bus routes, and there is ample free parking right next to the building. UIU offers flexible class schedules, small classes, a convenient location and flexible methods of course delivery to meet student needs.

With flexibility and a commitment to high standards and quality, UIU strives to meet the needs of its students with convenient evening and weekend classes, daytime classes, hybrid classes(on site/online combined), concentrated eight-week terms, and six different registration periods throughout the year.

Students at the Milwaukee Center can earn an Associate’s Degree in General Business or Liberal Arts, or obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Health Services Administration, Human Resources Management, Human Services, Management, Marketing, Psychology, and Public Administration. They also offer the courses that qualify for the Social Work Training Certificate. All programs are approved for veteran’s benefits. Upper Iowa University is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission, and is a member of the North Central Association. Upper Iowa accepts financial aid through various sources including state and federal loans and grants, employer reimbursement, and scholarships.
