The Walker’s Point Center for the Arts, 838 S. Fifth St., will hold it annual Members show September 7 to October 6. The Annual Members Show is an opportunity for the organization’s board and staff to show some love for those who contribute to the progression of multicultural arts and education in Milwaukee and aims to create a support-base for local talent, build dialogue with the community, and cultivate the community’s passion for the arts.

With a variety of talented members exhibiting their work in an array of mediums, styles and compositions, this dynamic showing of local and regional artists is sure to create an environment of juxtapositions and kinships. Featuring the work of WPCA members, this salon-style exhibition takes a broad look at what is being produced in the contemporary Milwaukee and regional art scenes.

For years WPCA has hosted its Annual Members Show in gratitude of those who have sustained the organization and as an opportunity for emerging and established artists from the area to converge, share ideas and generate dialogue.

The show will also mark the beginning of its “Featured Member” exhibition series. Artists will be juried from the body of work included in this year’s Annual Members Show. Chosen artists will display their work during Milwaukee’s fall, winter, spring and summer Gallery Nights.

Each member chosen to exhibit will be allotted a three month solo exhibition period, with an opening on Gallery Night. Work chosen by the juror does not necessarily need to be displayed in the “Featured Member” exhibition space. This year’s juror is Frank Juarez, owner of EFFJAY PROJEKTS located in Sheboygan, WI
