AfroFest 2011 is presenting to the city of Milwaukee an Annual Open Door
Gospel Celebration to the Kingdom to give honor and glory to God, our
This will be an outdoor celebration service in Washington Park on July
24th. The event will begin at 2 p.m. opening with prayer, posting of
the colors and our national Anthem by Alvis Moore Jr.
Featured motivational speaker Delvyn Crawford of Gutter Enterprises will give
the address. The service will be comprised of songs of praise and
worship, as well as blessing God with a poetry quartet and a drum
An Acapella group Voices in the Wilderness, the choir and praise team of
Holy Redeemer Vessels of Christ, Daughters of Destiny and the Voices
of the Redeemed will minister in song, while the Strong Hearts praise
dancers will worship with dance. Many church choirs offering
ministries through song are on stage during the event.
One special named performers are St. Matthews C.M.E. Children’s
Choir, which will give advice as to obtaining the entrance to the
kingdom’s gates in song and praise. The Evangelistic singers will
make you feel the answer to the question (and theme for the day):
“Is my living in vain?”.
Additional choirs and soloists who will add their voices to a special harmony
tribute of praise and worship are Ms. Boola/Esqate’s Praise and the
word through dance, song and ministries.
The afternoon sermon will begin at 5:00 p.m. with Pastor Lee Shaw of St.
Gabriel’s C.O.G.I.C. Ministries that we believe will bring non
believers to seek the word as was witnessed last year at alter call
with five new souls brought to the kingdom.
April Bentley will deliver a gospel rap while Jasmine Freeman of Missionary
Baptist church will be giving praise in dance. Level Seven, an
anointed quartet, Peaches Reynolds and St. Phillips Gospel Choir and
the True Vine M.B.C. as well as a solo featuring Henrietta Arnold
will be performing all praises to God.
LIFE 2WICE will conclude the days ministry featuring the Rev. Lovelace
Redmond and Minister Bruce Powell. Afro Fest will conclude the Gospel
Stage events at 8:00 p.m. with words of encouragement and seasonal
thematic closing remarks.
AfroFest 2011 invites you to become a part of this celebration in an open
door arena where children of God can give glory to the Kingdom of
Heaven and praise to our King. This request is extended to each and

so that we may together uplift the Kingdom of GOD the Father.
