Hello my name is Joshua Jackson you have probably heard of me from my last few articles. This weekend during the night a dead tree limb fell off a tree and knocked down the power line. Good thing I only had to go without the internet for a day but it got me thinking of what life would be like without technology. I realized that in today’s world life is way easier than when my Nana and Papa were children.
I would say that life was way harder back then for my grandparents because they didn’t have any resources to look at such as Google. They had to really do their research from books and stuff in the library. Also back then entertainment was really limited and just very plain and boring in my opinion. I feel like nowadays people don’t really communicate with others much anymore. My Nana and Papa told me that back then they were outside and talked to each other and had to find something to do together if they were bored.
Also the TV quality looks way better now than it did back then. Back then TV was really blurry and the quality is way better now. Back then there was black and white and now there’s actually color. Full color broadcasts were introduced from 1977 to 1980. Regular test color broadcasts began in the late 1970’s,with the first color TV sets being built in 1975.
Regular color broadcasts began in 1980,with full time color broadcasts beginning in 1981. I find it crazy to see how the development of Television has changed so much from the twenty- first century. There are many sources of entertainment such as books, music, films, and video games. Back then they had to listen to the radio and listen to music. Now you just search up a song on YouTube for free. Well whoever read this I hope you enjoy my article stay safe and stay positive.
