This month I showed you ways to embark on a new year full of intention and rejuvenation. We started off planning, pampering, and getting healthy. I will end this month with the last of our new year, new me series and discuss vision. Without vision there is no strategy to win in life. Every day you are living the life you want to live with every decision you make.
Writing a vision ensures you that whatever you want, you get. Writing the vision is just the first step, then comes the belief that this can, and will happen and then there is the work that it takes to make it a reality.
Ask yourself, what do I want? And when do I want it? I challenge you to think outside of the box and I am going to show you a few visions that I write every year and the good thing about writing visions is there is no limit, you can write as many as you like. Here are a few I started working on.
Vision for family
What do you want for your family? Are you single, married, have children, or want them? Maybe your family has a few challenges, and you want to see things change for them. Writing a vision for your family is necessary because our family should be special to us, and growth starts in your own home and circle.
Vision for your career
What do you want out of your career? How much do you want to earn? Where do you want to work? This is an important vision to have, no more just getting up to go somewhere with no purpose or passion. Ask yourself what you really want from your employer.
Vision for health
How is your health? What are you doing for longevity? What is going on in your body that you have control to change? Is there something that you have always wanted to do? Maybe run a marathon, or even join a gym. Believe you can do it and write a vision of what health looks like for you.
Financial vision
Want to be debt free? Want to earn extra money or do you need to make an appointment with a financial advisor? Your goal may be to be rich and there is nothing wrong with that, write a financial vision and go for it.
Relationship vision
Have you gotten off to a bad start and now you know what you want? A relationship vision is important, what type of relationship do you want? What does happiness look like to you? You can create the perfect relationship just be realistic and intentional and write a vision of what a good relationship looks like for you.
This will get you started, so go ahead and write your visions for everything you want big and small, remember you can have the life you dream about, just stop dreaming and pursue it.
