Summer is approaching and there is no time like the present to get in on the fun. No matter what people say about Milwaukee, we have the best summer fun. In fact, people come from all over the world to enjoy Milwaukee during the summer. Whether it is Summerfest, State Fair, or the Lakefront you are guaranteed to have lots of laughs and make good memories.
No matter the season Downtown in the summer is the place to be, there are diverse events and that always includes music. Most events are held on the streets which are free, and they also include local favorites, which is always a plus. There is so much going on in the world now which can be depressing but getting out in the sun and enjoying a wonderful day out really helps.
Some things to consider when going to an event is to remember the dates. My friend Diane is good when it comes to this, she will see an event and schedule it right away in her calendar and she never misses one. I have forgotten a few events that I really wanted to attend because I did not put it in my calendar. Also, make sure to request time off work so you can enjoy it. Using vacation time for local attractions is equally important as taking time off to travel abroad.
Here are a few activities you can enjoy with the whole family this month.
- Heart (beats) of the city – June 1st – July 27th Every Wednesday at noon, Red Arrow Park. Enjoy the area’s best food trucks and local bands performing on the upper terrace.
