Be Nice to Yourself
Sometimes in life, it seems like we are suppose to be perfect. Everything we see on tv and other media outlets show us perfection. And because of that, it’s easy to get caught up in an imaginary world where you feel you have to be perfect.
Let me be the one to tell you this is a lie! You do not have to be perfect. You don’t have to pretend to be either. That becomes overwhelming and extremely unhealthy. Attempting to live a life of perfection is attempting to live a lie.
Each and every one of us has things that we could work on. But guess what? We can only do our absolute best that we can and that’s it. Life and how you live it is all about perspective.
Here’s a few tips to help you in this thing called life:
Stop comparing yourself to others.
This is by far one of the worst things you could ever do. Comparing yourself to others will literally keep you miserable. You’re always going to be worried about others instead of focusing on you and your personal growth. Now, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with being inspired by others. But NEVER compare your life’s journey to others.
Mistakes are just learning opportunities.
Everybody makes mistakes. I mean everybody! You will never come across a champion who’s never lost in anything. It takes many losses to win most times. Losses aren’t losses. They’re just learning experience. When you mess up, don’t be angry. Use it as a moment to grow. Figure out how you can fix the issue and begin to do better.
Stop putting yourself down.
You have to begin to focus on positive self-talk. Pointing out all your flaws or often times using phrases like “I suck” “I’m always messing up” “I’ll never get it right” are literally mind damaging. That’s the exact way to create limits. Your mind listens to your thoughts and self talk. What you put in is what comes out. So begin to focus on the good. Learn to give yourself compliments. Celebrate you. Find the positives in any situation. Promote self growth, now mental abuse.
Where To Get Affordable Food
Food shortages have affected many fast food restaurants, Burger King with pickles, Starbucks with oat milk, fruit and other ingredients. Taco Bell is the latest chain to experience food shortages, from lettuce to perhaps more essential item, sauce packages. The highly publicized chicken shortages have effected them as well, but for people who can’t afford fast food there is bigger issue.
Caledonia Police: Planting Drugs in Black Man’s Back Seat
Recently, a few young black men were pulled over in a car by the Caledonia Police Department. The original reason for the traffic stop has not been mentioned. However what has been mentioned is the behavior of one of the cops on duty.
After taking a couple men out the car, the front seat passenger was recording what was happening behind him. While recording, one of the cops came over to the backseat, on the passenger side and attempted to plant a bag of what looks to be marijuana.
The officer can be seen planting the drugs in the video and immediately putting on gloves to pick it back up out the car.
This incident is currently under investigation, as the higher ups would like to see body cam footage.
Incidents like these are completely uncalled for and unnecessary. It’s sad to see first hand how the cops have the audacity to treat black men.

My Future Predictions
Hello my name is Josh, and I have always wondered what the future would be like. In the future I believe that there could be flying cars and I think that we will probably use electric fuel. Technology is so advanced now I think that maybe in the future there will be self-driving cars. My future prediction is that we will have drones deliver most things to us which I think is kinda good and bad.
I believe it’s good because it makes people’s jobs easier but at the same it’s bad because it will make this generation lazier than we already are. My grandparents told me that when they were kids they had to stuff in your head nowadays you can just search for things on the computer. An example of how technology is making is calculators because most times people don’t write out the steps to math anymore or look inside of a Dictionary. I’m so lazy that I never use a Dictionary.
I just use my phone and search up the word on google which is why some of these advancements probably shouldn’t be made because one day robots could be ruling the world. This is true because I believe humans are getting dumber because of modern technology. A prediction that I have is maybe dinosaurs will exist in the future. I was watching my favorite movie of all time, “Jurassic World” thinking about how cool it would be if dinosaurs were alive. Later that day,I was just asking myself if it was possible that dinosaurs could actually come back in the near future.
I was telling myself that’s impossible because they’re extinct but then I realized in the movie that they found a mosquito stuck in amber and then they traced the dinosaur’s DNA from millions of years ago and recreated it. In reality they sadly can’t bring back the reptile dinosaurs from sixty five million years ago but scientists were able to get a sample from one million years ago. The closest thing that we have to dinosaurs from one million years ago are actually chickens. When I heard this, I was a little bit disappointed because it sounded kind of silly to me.
It actually makes sense though because birds actually do kind of resemble dinosaurs. Maybe in the future time travel could be possible and I could literally see the dinosaurs which I think would be really cool. I think time travel could be possible because of Einstein’s Theory of Relativity. Also I would be cool if it was possible to time travel. In a movie I watched named “Fantastic Four” where teleportation is possible.
While teleportation actually currently exists only in science fiction, I read on the internet that teleportation is possible now in the subatomic world of quantum mechanics. Those are my predictions for the future. Well, whoever reads this I hope you enjoyed reading this article.
Monday Motivation: Born Great
Did anybody tell you you were born to be great? You weren’t born regular. You weren’t born without a purpose. You weren’t born to be mediocre.
Nope you’re lit and full of fire. You were designed and craft for a special reason. Your gifts and talents weren’t given to you just to sit on the shelf. Your gifts and talents were made so that you could make an impact.
I know that’s the part that seems tough. It seems like making an impact is just too hard to do at times. It involves stepping out of your comfort zone to make happen and sometimes that’s very thing is what scares people.
They say the richest place in the world is the graveyard. In the graveyard you will find millionaires and billionaires, success dreams, ideas, and inventions that never made its way to the atmosphere.
Being great isn’t just about being different. Being great is playing your part. Being great is pushing yourself. Being great is elevating. Being great is changing. You were designed to be great. But what matters most is your decision to be great.
Let’s be great today!
How to Manage Your Time Better
Have you ever been in a space where you felt overwhelmed because you have so many tasks to complete. Like, you try to write it down but it doesn’t work. You seem to keep procrastinating.
Frustrating. It gets discouraging. I’ve personally been there. I’ve been in a place where I had lots to do but my mind just wouldn’t allow me to do it; Sometimes because I’m burnt out. Sometimes because I can’t focus.
Well, I’ve learned that I’m not alone. Many people suck at time management and that’s okay. It’s more important to know what you’re going to do about it rather than to dwell in the facts of the circumstances.
After doing some reading and discovering better time management I found a few tips:
Plan Ahead
Literally plan out your days. Write down each task and make it realistic. Know how long it’s going to take and when you’re going to complete it by. At the end of each workday, plan out what the next day should look like. This not only helps you to stay on schedule, it reduces stress. There’s no need to worry when everything is under control.
Prioritize Wisely
You should always prioritize your tasks based on importance and urgency. You need to know what NEEDS to happen and what needs to wait. For instance, look at your daily tasks and determine which are:
- Most Important and most urgent: Get it done right away.
- Important but not urgent: Figure out when to get these tasks done.
- Urgent but not important: Delegate these tasks if possible.
- Not urgent and not important: Put these away for a later day.
Prioritize each and every day.
Take Breaks
So you may think being effective means by all means necessary. While being effective and taking care of tasks is extremely important, it means nothing if you aren’t taking care of yourself. You should schedule breathers. You should never pound it out for morning to night. No. You need a break. Allow some downtown where you can do absolutely nothing. This gives you an opportunity to regroup and refresh.
These tips helped me go a long way and they can help you too! Try it and let’s be sure to GET IT DONE this week.
