Monday Motivation: Let’s Go!
Happy Make-it-Happen Monday! That’s right. Let’s make it happen today. Whatever distraction has been bothering you, let it go. Whatever has been keeping you sad, mad, or frustrated, let it go. Whatever mistakes you made last week, it’s over. Let it go.
Today is a new day and a new week. What hasn’t worked just didn’t work. What didn’t work wasn’t meant to. Go into this week expecting more. Vibrate higher. Take care of you.
Cater to your mind body and spirit. Treat yourself better this week. Maybe you’ve been allowing people in your space that don’t belong. Maybe you’ve been entertaining someone who doesn’t deserve your time. Maybe your friends have been throwing your productivity off. Whatever it is, it’s time to reset.
Let’s go into this week knowing you’re going to kill it. Let’s go into this week giving out blessings. Let’s stay positive. Let’s stay focused. Try something new this week. It doesn’t have to be major, just make sure it’s different. Clear your mind. Clear your life.
Put you first and handle your business. After all, you have goals to hit and things to do. So don’t feel bad this week as you switch up. Remember things get uncomfortable when it comes to change. So this week change your behavior where it needs to change. Chase after your goals. Plan ahead. Let go and execute.
Let’s go!
18 Shootings in 1 Weekend
According to CBS58, 18 people were shot, including six fatalities in 14 confirmed shootings throughout Milwaukee this weekend. Needless to say, Milwaukee is in terrible shape as the summer approaches. The weather is finally starting to break and things are getting out of hand.
This makes me think. What will be our game plan to reduce the crime this summer? How can we tackle numbers like these? How will we make an impact? Is the solution to have more events and things for people to do? Should we have more summer camps for youth?
These number are mind blowing without a doubt and sad. This is a cry for help Milwaukee. What are we going to do?

My Dream Summer of Disney World,Summer Camp, and Washington D.C. (part 2)
This summer in reality I’m most likely going to play video games or be on my phone all day. Well this summer I have gotten a summer job so at least I’ll have something to be preoccupied with then just doing nothing. This summer if it gets really hot outside, I would really want something to cool me down. The sad part is my mom won’t let me go to a water park because of the pandemic.
Before the pandemic I went to summer camp where we did lots of fun activities. At summer camp we would go on field trips and that was the best part for me being there. While I was still at summer camp we went on field trips to the Saint Louis Zoo, Lincoln Theater, water parks, and we went on some other field trips that I don’t remember. Summer camp was a fun experience to me we played board games, we went to the gym, we played outside, and we got visitors at the summer camp who taught us how to cook. While we were at the summer camp I remembered at summer camp that we got breakfast every morning. Probably my best part about being at summer camp was that I had made lots of friends that I’m actually still friends with today.
Last year 2020 I was really looking forward to a great summer and then COVID 19 hit. Last year 2020 I was just stuck at home having really nothing fun to do except playing video games. Lately I have been just watching YouTube and TikTok. One of my favorite apps to look at when I’m bored is TikTok because I never really get bored of watching it. At first I used to really hate the app and I actually kind of like it because of the dances. I used to not really care about social media but now I just use because life is so boring so I use social media to keep up with my friends and the school I just left. To be honest I think the only interesting thing to do now are being on are phones. Before COVID 19 I was on my bike outside at the park and now I just sit on my phone because there is nothing else really fun to do. I think that later on this year things will start to open back up and people will learn to be more careful and wash their hands.
Eviction Ban? Where Does It Stands
My Dream Summer of Disney World,Summer Camp, and Washington D.C. (part 1)
My dream summer would be spending time with friends and family. For the summer I look forward to start going out to restaurants and going to see my family after the pandemic. Hopefully I can go to Disney World again because that was a fun experience. The only time I’ve ever been to Disney World is when I was four years old and eight years old. Well last year for me didn’t really go as planned because when the pandemic hit we had to cancel future plans that were made for a long time. Last summer in the year of 2020 we were supposed to go to Washington DC. That year I was surprised that we didn’t go to one of my favorite traditional family vacation that I would have with my Nana and Papa which was the Dixie Stampede.
At the Dixie Stampede there was a show where they would show horses and other animals. One of my favorite parts was during the show was when some workers at the show served us food. Even though I can’t go to the Dixie Stampede I’ve had so many memories there.
Part 2 next week
Working on You
Working on you is by far the most important task in life. If you want to find yourself living a happy, successful life, there’s things that you have to let go and things that have to take place. Sure, you may be the person that everyone you know comes to for advice. You might be someone who’s unhappy with their health and and overall image. While you are granted to have your own opinion, I feel it’s safe to say change creates growth.
A lot of times we’re not where we want to be and instead of taking accountability, we cry, whine and complain. We get jealous of the success of others. We question ourselves. While this may be a bit “normal”, it’s not the best approach to take.
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with feeling like you want more but negative self talk is critical. If you want to change your life, start with your mind. Start with your habits. Start with your truth.
You can’t progress effectively if you won’t look at the truth for what it is. You need to know your starting points to truly move forward. Evaluate yourself. Take some time to write about you.
Write about your feelings and emotions. Write about what you love about yourself and what you wanna change. Jot down some dreams of yours and make them vivid. Learn about you.
Working on you is a process. The key is to understand that journey life journey is like no one else. Be patient with yourself and realize that flowers don’t blossom overnight. Set realistic expectations for yourself. Work on you for you!
$3,600 to Families? How to Get It!
An enhanced child tax credit is expected to benefit roughly, 39 million Americans. If you are a part of this group you can expect to benefit financially from the credit this year, with eligible families set to see their first partial payment July 15. The tax credit will provide parents $3,000 total for each child aged 6 to 17 ($3,600 for children under 6), with the option of receiving half of the credit through advance monthly payments this year. To find out eligibility and to calculate your families estimated credit, visit CNETS’s child tax credit If you haven’t done so already. Also before next month two portals online will open, to help with the credit courtesy of the IRS. Families can choose through the portal, to have a lump sum or installment payments. I encourage you don’t miss your payments and to check eligibility. Have a great week!
8 Year Old Found Dead
According to CBS58, on Saturday, an 8-year-old Milwaukee boy drowned in West Bend. According to authorities, around 5 p.m. a family member of the boy alerted a lifeguard that they could not locate the boy.
Soon after a lost child address was issued over the public address system and a search of the park’s pond began. The 8 year old was later found unresponsive in the water and taken to the shore by park-goers.
The Lifeguards performed CPR and rushed the boy to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead. Officials say the incident remains under investigation.
As sad as this is, our question must be how to protect the youth this summer. How can we lower the death rates of our young people? What are we doing wrong?
