Packers Vs 49ers: History and Its Milwaukee Ties
The Green Bay Packers pull off an impressive win at home against the Seattle Seahawks to advance to the NFC Championship game. Thanks to the efforts of players such as Devante Adams, home grown player Jake Kumrow, Adam Jones and more home grown talent like Jake Kumerow. The last time we were in a NFC championship games, was of course 2015 against the Seahawks, with the result being much different.
The Packers were 4-1 against the 49ers with Brett Favre quarterbacking the team.
Favre and the Packers beat San Francisco in the divisional playoffs in 1995 and ’96, the NFC Championship Game in 1997 and a Wild Card game in 2001. Favre’s Packers however lost to the 49ers in a Wild Card game in 1998.
Rodgers and the Packers lost in the divisional playoffs at San Francisco in 2012, and dropped a home game to the 49ers in a 2013 Wild Card game.
Green Bay’s most memorable wins of the past quarter century came in the 1995 playoffs, when the Packers were a underdog at San Francisco. But Favre, who won league MVP honors that year, threw for 299 yards and two touchdowns, and cornerback Craig Newsome had a 31-yard fumble return for a touchdown in a 27-17 win.
Two different teams two different eras coming off impressive wins is sure to be an exciting games. Go pack go!
Headline–Giannis Antetokounmpo turning into a one man show for the Milwaukee Bucks! Beat arch-rival Chicago Bulls!
Photographer Bill Tennessen, who took these photos during the Bucks recent win over the Chicago Bulls, says Bucks MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo seems to be dominating the majority of his photos these days. That’s probably because the Bucks superstar is dominating the games he plays in from tip-off to final buzzer. As dominating as he’s been during this still early part of the season, he still has to work on a couple of things, such as his free-throw shooting and three-point shot. He made one three-pointer in five attempts. Hey, even Superman has kryptonite to deal with!

Packers Bounce Back
The Green Bay Packers bounced back from their embarrassing loss to the San Diego Chargers
two weeks ago with a big win this past Sunday over the Carolina Panthers, 24 to 16 at legendary
Lambeau Field. There was plenty of “Packer weather” as the snow and wind made for an
exciting and appropriate backdrop for the game as the Pack rediscovered its running game,
which allowed star Quarterback Aaron Rogers and pro-bowl Wide Receiver Davante Adams to
sting the Panthers repeatedly throughout the game. In the end, it came down to a goal line
stand by the Packer defense preventing Panthers Running Back Christian McCaffery from
getting into the end zone.—Photo by Kim Robinson

Packers Beat the Minnesota Vikings Sunday, 21-16
The Green Bay Packers beat the Minnesota Vikings Sunday, 21-16 in its home season opener before a sold out Lambeau Field crowd. The
Packers got off to a fast start scoring three touchdowns in the first half.
But the defense for the Vikings made some half-time adjustments and shut the Pack out the rest of the way. But Minnesota’s offense couldn’t take advantage of their defense’s stellar play and was held to sixteen points by a Packer defense that gave the Vikes fits all day. The season opener was dedicated to the late Packer great and NFL and Packer hall of famer Bart Starr who was the quarterback in the glory days of the Vince Lombardi era, and a former head coach of the team in the mid-to-late 70s. Starr’s wife, Cherry Starr, was on hand for the half-time festivities and was given a helmet her husband wore during his playing days. She was escorted onto the field by another Packer legend, former star Quarterback Brett Favre. –All photos by Kim Robinson
