Mequon, Wis. – More than 700 hundred new Concordia University Wisconsin (CUW) students, including freshman, transfer students, and international students, will be moving into their resident hall rooms on Friday, August 27 from 9 a.m. until noon.
This is a record number of new students for Concordia, which houses approximately 2,000 students on its Mequon campus.
Last year was a record year for the University, as a whole, in which Concordia surpassed the 7,000 mark in total student enrollment.
“I am humbled and gratified to experience the rise in numbers, and quality, of our incoming class,” said Jeff Frosch, director of Admission at CUW.
“We are indeed blessed by our gracious Lord and seek to continue the work that He calls us to do – helping students to discover their intended vocations,” Frosch added.
Classes for undergraduate students begin Monday, August 30. Students in the inaugural class of Concordia’s Pharmacy program began their studies on Monday, August 23.
The new pharmacy school building is being constructed on the Mequon campus near the University’s main entrance and should be completed in time for the start of fall classes 2011.
