You ever heard the saying “to give is better than to receive” or “it’s better to give than to receive”? Of course, right? But the question is do you believe it? Does it make sense? Have you ever asked yourself why?
Why is giving so important?
Giving helps others. You never know what kind of situation someone is in, so giving things from the heart can truly brighten someone’s day or even save someone’s life. It also cultivates self worth. It makes you feel good. You smile while putting a smile on some else’s face. It even helps develop your character.
Giving inspires giving. People love to give and out give others. Have you ever went to eat with a group of friends and everyone’s fighting on who’s paying the bill in full? No? Then you need new friends. — Kidding but seriously, there’s no greater feeling than a true community of givers.
Giving also demonstrates where your heart is while teaching responsibility. If you take a look where you give most you’ll find a passion, one that you may be proud of or you may not be. Pay attention to how and where you give most of you to.
Many people think giving is all about money but truth be told, giving comes in all kinds of forms. You can give money, materials, time, attention, and more. There’s no box when it comes to giving. You can be creative with your giving. You can give through acts of service. The list goes on!

Your blessings will surely come back around and you’ll feel amazing about yourself.
