“Avoid gatherings of more then 10 people together, remain 6 feet apart. Theses are the current requirements per the Governor, as part of the fight against Covid-19. Many businesses have completely shut down, others found ways to be creative. In the midst of the crisis, a persons faith most commonly come into play, as people look for comfort. Due to the fear and spread of the virus, many churches have closed their doors completely. But there are some who got creative with the restrictions in order to spread messages. I would like to highlight the first of this series, Solomon’s Temple Evangelistic Ministries.
Lead by Bishop Randolph Nichols, and his wife Pastor Nicole Nichols, the building located on the corner of 22nd and Center, relied this week on technology. After a strong prayer from his wife to open services, Bishop Nichols Preached from un familiar position, the pulpit while staying in frame of several cameras.
Typically a floor spaced preacher, who relies on illustrations, props and many other visual aids and movements he was able to effectively communicate a powerful message. The sermon lasted about an hour as listeners could listen through band app, or Facebook live. Only church board members were in attendance, but I am told that the following weeks will include more members, as they adhere to the spacing guidelines. Great work to all involved, as we all can use some positivity.
