Easter Sunday was an Easter like no other. Never have we ever experienced a quarantine Easter but I must say, it definitely goes down in the books in the name of Love. While many families weren’t able to do the “let’s eat” family style tradition, Diddy came up with a way to show healthcare workers who are putting their lives on the line for the sake of others some real love.
The overall mission was to partner with a company the supply’s masks, gloves, hand sanitizers, and more for healthcare workers in need and raise money specifically for them. For hours and hours A-list celebrations dropped in to show their love like Jlo, Will Smith, Kevin Hart, Michelle Obama, Gabrielle and Dwayne Wade, Justin Bieber, Tiffany Haddish, Lizzo, Wiz Kalifa, Snoop Dogg, and so many more.
As a typical civilian I was in awe. Everything Diddy did was of Love. You could feel the energy through the screen. There was nothing but positive vibes and history being made. It was phenomenal to see such a mission in action.
As time went on, Diddy received generous donations from fans and other celebrities. Viewers were also blessed with guest appearances from La La Anthony, Winnie Harlow, Naomi Campbell and Rita Wilson, the latter of which was caught Coronavirus last month with her husband, Tom Hanks, and has since recovered.
Diddy also called some musicians that helped him vibe to some of today’s hottest hits. All in all the goal was to come together for this cause and that’s exactly what happened. That’s exactly what they did.
Diddy gave words about how the black and Latino families have to stick together. He says that we have to help each other more often. He wants to see black people win so we can expect so much more.
Diddy declared this Instagram Diddy Dance-a-Thon Fundraiser to be “The Worlds Biggest Dance-a-Thon; bringing in over $4 Million. That alone is very heroic of him. I pray his blessings continue to fall as we all continue to help during this pandemic the best way we can.
