1. FLASHLIGHT
Everyone needs a flashlight and the batteries to go with it. Thank God we live in a time where we have bright flashlights attached to our phones, however, we should always carry a back up in the car.
2. Gloves
You never know what valves you’ll need to touch and sometimes things get a little messy. Keep the gloves in arms reach.
3. OWNER MANUAL
Keeping an owners manual in my car as a resource has been a life saver over these past few years. By ensuring this valuable book is left in your glove box, you don’t have to worry about bad cell reception or misinformation listed on the web when trying to figure out what’s wrong with your car.
4. CELL PHONE CHARGER
Whats a cell phone without juice? Useless! You want to always be prepared if you need to call 911 or reach an emergency contact.
Pro Tip: In addition to a car charger, I would also invest in a few battery packs. Battery packs are great because they keep your phone charged independently of the car.
5. JUMPER CABLES/PORTABLE POWER PACK
Everyone should know how to jumpstart a car. Keep a set of jumper cables in the back for the random times that “it” happens!
6. FIRST AID KIT
Keeping a first aid kit in your car is important. You never know when you will have a car emergency and a portable medical kit is needed.
