After Biden was elected President , current President Trump vowed to challenge all votes. On Sunday the latest state to do a recount was Wisconsin, who finished the process early afternoon. After Trump payed a cool 3 million for the recount, the process only affirmed Biden’s victory, but increased it by 87 votes. It has been widely expected for the results of the election to hold up, but some were in support of Trump in his legal rights to challenge. There has been numerous claims of voting fraud, but none substantiated. Last week I reported that his camp gave the green light to continue the transition of power process, so was a head scratcher decision to many. Positive note is that the presidential election talks should finally be at the end.
President Trump
COMMENTARY: One Huge Lie Crystallized
NNPA NEWSWIRE — After the Republican Convention, President Trump has cut into Biden’s lead, and it appears that our president is a man of character. Trump supporters made it appear that he was working for all Americans and that there are thousands of Black men who believe he is the best candidate for our community. The president made it appear that he was working for the soul of America, and he was a huge supporter of voting.

You may have decided not to look at the recent Republican National Convention on television, and many Americans think President Trump broke the law by abusing the Hatch Act. But our president is smiling, because he got away with it.
The president needed a convention bounce and, according to polls, White voters have increased their support of his policies. By comparison, following the Democratic National Convention, held a week earlier, nothing changed statically in terms of support.
A recent Morning Consult poll that asked 4,035 likely voters which candidate they would pick, found Biden leading Trump by 6 percentage points, 50 percent to 44 percent. It marked a 4-point improvement for Trump from his standing going into the convention on August 23, when Biden led 52 percent to 42 percent. “The poll had a 2-point margin of error,” according to Morning Consult’s by Eli Yokley.

Even though there are 198 judges appointed by the president to the different courts in 3 1/2 years, not one has been Black. This has solidified conservative thinking and created and supported racism. These appointments are not about the next 4 years, but this will impact the positions and decisions that the judges will make for the next 40 years.
The Democrats have cast the President as a failed leader, but Trump’s supporters painted him as a success and the last line of defense against radical socialism. Black Lives Matter is trying to de-fund the police Departments and when you need a policeman, there will be a busy signal. Many of the mayors in many cities are finding out that Trump administration is paying people to create violence during peaceful protests.
Even though the Republican Convention was one huge lie, many of Biden’s supporters are having second thoughts about supporting the Democrats. As the race gets closer, all of the Republicans will be lying, and it is very hard to know what a lie is and where the truth starts.
On the last night of the convention Giuliani said, progressive Mayor Bill de Blasio of New York is the reason crime has elevated in the city. But when Giuliani was mayor in 2000 the yearly murder rate was 673, compared to 318 in 2019.
It is so easy to lie and give half of the story or picture. During the last night, a supporter kept telling the country that the president created the strongest economy in American history and strengthened Medicare and Social Security. However, Obama’s last three years were stronger than Trump’s first three years, and the present economy is close to a depression. Ending payroll taxes would deplete the Social Security fund in two years.
It is obvious that the majority of the Republican National Convention was one continuous lie but squeezing 1,500 people on the South lawn of the White House was irresponsible during a coronavirus pandemic. This was the wrong message to send Americans, and President Trump does not care.
“He once again claimed to have done more for the African American community than any president since Abraham Lincoln – ignoring Harry Truman’s integration of the military, Lyndon Johnson’s passage of the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act, and many other accomplishments. One might wonder, if this is true, why polls show just 5 percent of Black voters supporting him, says Fred Kaplan of the Slate, an online magazine.
As Republicans and President Trump build a campaign on lies the numbers are still in the Democrats favor. It is time for the Democrats to expose the lies and speak truth to power. The major key to Biden winning this election is getting support from the 18-to-30-year old voters, the Black voters, and the women voters.

COMMENTARY: The Pandemic Curve is Not Bending, Putting Americans at Risk
NNPA NEWSWIRE — There are 8 states that have not issued a shelter-in-place order, and the blame must be placed solely on the leadership of the country. With no coordinated national plan, the infection curve is not improving, and President Trump’s handling of the crisis is terrible. On March 24th the Navigator Research, a polling company found that 52% of Americans approved of the president’s handling of the pandemic. But in the recent weeks things are going in the other direction.

“The real implications of those delays and missteps were not fully apparent during early polling regarding the White House response. But now, as the death toll mounts and more state governors have stepped up their responses to the emergency, it appears the slow response is now eating away at the public’s confidence in the president,” says Pema Levy – reporter at Mother Jones.
With no coordinated National Strategic Plan to battle the coronavirus, and the most cases on the planet, President Trump has failed. Each day the numbers get worse, with 350,000 American cases, and over 9,700 deaths. It took Trump and his administration 70 days from the first time he was notified of the coronavirus, and its grave implications to treat it as a public health crisis.
President Trump likes to brag about how early he shut down travel to China at the end of January. But the truth is that in November, in the city of Wuhan, the virus appeared, and nothing was done for 2 months. Trump and his administration had allowed over 300,000 people from China to enter the country before the ban was imposed. It took another month for Trump and his administration to limit travel from and to Europe to control the virus.
During the month of February, our president was making jokes about the virus, and the Democrats were undermining his election chances talking about the virus, and he predicted the virus would soon disappear.
“Perhaps the most consequential failure was the administration’s bungling of testing which hobbled the country’s response and blinded it to the potential enormity of the outbreak. The Centers for Disease and Prevention failed to produce a good test, causing fatal delays in tracking the spread of the virus. In February federal, medical, and public health officials were emailing increasing dire forecasts among themselves, with one Veterans Affairs medical adviser warning, ‘We are flying blind,’ according to the American Oversight Committee.”

“The latest polling shows that a growing number of Americans feel that Trump downplayed the crisis, was unprepared, and failed to respond quickly. In the latest poll out Saturday, 59% of respondents said they had serious concerns that Trump failed to take decisive action in the early stages of the outbreak,” says Pema Levy.
The president’s pandemic advising team has predicted that the next two weeks will be a tsunami of deaths with the coronavirus. The front lines of workers are tired, and there appears to be no slowing down of the invisible enemy – the virus.
Leadership is what is missing in America, and the other 42 governors must convince the 8 governors to shut down their state to flatten the curve. The American prisons will be the next hot spot where there will be a major outbreak of the virus. Social distancing is impossible in prisons and there is a need for a plan.
Call your governor and force them to shut down your state, if it is still open. Social distancing measures are given to restrict when and where people can gather to stop the spread of the virus. Let’s shut America down, and stop the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
Happy Stimulus Day!
The IRS released the first wave of stimulus checks today! Many Americans woke up to deposits pending, or available from the department of treasury. I personally know a few people in the city who have gotten theirs, proven that those who have already filed would get paid quickly. However, if you did not get a deposit, another round is expect the be deposited Tuesday, with more deposits throughout the week. Those who have their deposit information on file got theres first, in a likely draw of longer tenured tax payers to least. For those without bank accounts, the IRS plans to send out checks starting April 20th. Many have also wondered about ongoing payments in the midst of the crisis. Last week President Trump confirmed that they are in deed, planning to send another wave of payments out. I hope the payments bring happiness to you all. Stay healthy stay safe.
