The best way to do, remember, and complete anything is to plan for it. No matter your age you will forget to do things and all of us need a reminder to get things done. Same for completing things and we all fall short of this, so if you want to finish strong plan too. We tend to give little credit to a sticky note and a notebook, but your days will become fulfilling when you plan things.
I am currently planning my year so that it will be exactly what I want it to be. I use excel for some things; however, I am a born writer and I write EVERYTHING! So, I prefer to handwrite my budget and lists instead of using software and technology.
The first thing we should be planning is our meals, so think about what you want to eat every day, write a menu, and place it on the refrigerator or on one of those fancy boards. This will help you prepare your grocery list.
What does your day look like? Make sure to write a self-care to do list for the day and include things like drinking 8 glasses of water (this is on mine lol), saying your morning affirmations or prayer, exercise, etc. Also, plan your doctor’s visits for the entire year so you can know how to schedule your days off from work. I like to schedule certain exams around my birthday like mammograms and physicals, then I schedule 2-3 dental appointments for cleaning and other routine treatments.
I feel the urge to be tough here, so I am sorry but, PLEASE SAVE MONEY THIS YEAR!!! I know it seems hard and it is sometimes but, you must do it. Start small it’s more about the habit than the dollar amount. I took a financial class a few years ago and it changed my life, one thing I learned was “it’s not if life happens, it’s when life happens, so something is going to happen in 2023 and you will need money. Just put $5.00 every two weeks in the bank and if you can do more than that increase it to $6.00 and go up, I promise you it will grow, just start. I started saving change, I had nothing to save at the beginning, and now I can save more, so trust me if I can do it, you can do it.
That is it you guys’ please plan for everything in 2023, whether it is a purchase, vacation, or a weekend outing, take time to sit down and plan it out so it will be a wise, healthy, and enjoyable experience.
Happy planning!
