Happy Happy Monday! Ahhh, yes! Starting of the week with a smile and some positive vibes feels like law. It’s a new week. New goals are in place. New tasks are at hand. But where is your head?
Are you feeling excited about the week or are you anxious? Are you feeling a little overwhelmed? Did you have a rough weekend? I mean, when you tap into yourself, what’s the mood?
You might be in a place where you just need a little push—a moment to breathe and listen. Our minds are always racing. Statistically, experts estimate that the mind thinks between 60,000 – 80,000 thoughts a day. That’s an average of 2500 – 3,300 thoughts per hour, according to successconsciousness.com. With that being said, having a cluttered mind or becoming frustrated can easily become a part of the part the day as well.
This is why meditation is so important. By definition, to meditate means to think deeply or focus one’s mind for a period of time, in silence or with the aid of chanting for religious or spiritual purposes or as a method of relaxation. It means to plan mentally or consider. Therefore it’s a direct connection to peace and solitude. Can you say, “Me Time”?
Meditating is so essential to our mental health. It can help us to learn to make better decisions and even become more aware. Often times life moves so fast and things happen so often that it gets hard to take the time to just sit. Yet, there’s so many benefits.
