On Friday President-elect Joe Biden and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi sat with Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schume. Their meetings focus was on a response to covid-19, agreeing that a relief package was top priority.
Once passed It would be the first piece of legislation, financially from the federal government since march. The funding from that has since run out, has already with the remaining unemployment expiring December 26th. Friday’s meeting indicates that Biden is planning to duplicate many sections of the first CARES Act, but no specifics given.
