Whenever we see something that we find interesting and then try to learn it we think it’s easy until we realize that it’s harder than we thought. Sometimes it can be frustrating to learn something new but it’s all a part of the process and sometimes we forget to enjoy the process. As we gradually get better at something, we usually get motivated to work harder as we see our progress along the journey of learning a new skill.
Whether you are trying to learn new skills or something new there are many tools and apps to help that you can look up on your phone. Now in the new age of technology we can make things easier and much more beneficial even though technology can be bad for our mental health at times and has its good and bad effects on people.
When learning something new you should be consistent when you practice because I would say most people tend to learn something for a week’s worth of practice then give up and tend to do the same after I start to lose patience. There were so many skills that I wanted to do at a time but realized that I could only take one step at a time and also realized that I had to find something that I would enjoy doing.
I learned that when I tried learning new skills in bigger portions rather than small portions I realized that I got frustrated easily. Like in school if a teacher talks too long I tend to lose focus rather than the teacher talking in short periods of time. Sometimes it is good to work for certain periods of time learning a new skill and make sure to take a break because it can be overwhelming and frustrating trying to do everything all at once without doing something else.
When trying to do certain tasks at once it is good to have a schedule so you have things planned out for when you decide to practice on whatever hobby you are trying to learn or get better at.
